Me and a buddy took out a tired set of leaf springs and replaced with a set of fresh take off springs and an AAL yesterday. When tightening everything up we realized the hole in the pack bracket where the brake line fastener should be was on the inside for both springs meaning they were installed on opposite sides as they were installed on the truck they came from.
Is the only difference in the leaf springs the hole or are they side specific with more arch or something else. Would rather not swap sides if I don't have to

Well they have different part numbers painted on them in BIG numbers and different colors. White is one side and yellow is the other side.

Thank you, I'll check the paint colors. So other than the aforementioned hole and paint colors is there a difference that I should be aware of that would make me want to switch the leafs

Yellow print is left, white is right.

Also the threads for the parking cable bracket are side specific, if the 12mm bolt is threaded in, its correct.

These are getting an icon add a leaf tomorrow.

So the yellow drivers side is a heavier spring to accommodate for the gas tank?

I am not sure if they are side specific but the different part numbers tend to make me think so. I’d call Toyota and ask them. I believe they are direction specific, front to back.

Be careful with the yellow vs. White writing as the determining factor. I've seen two different sets of gen 2 springs with white and yellow writing on opposite sides. My 2011 springs head (LH) and (RH) printed on Their respective side and the LH was in white, and the RH in yellow.

2014 spring from Mexico had 48220 in yellow writing and 48210 in white writing.

The common trait was the part number so I think thats where to confirm.
    48220- LH aka driver side
    48210- RH aka passenger
