I would prefer it but that's not what was available in a MT in my area.

you could order them without rear seats
You can even buy or trade for the parts to make it that way

But the only one that qualifies as a legit 2 passenger vehicle would be the SR utility pack.

That makes a difference because I can use the 3 HOV lane with two people in the truck.

Last week I saw a 2015 Spruce Mica TRD Sport AC. If that truck was on a lot somewhere it would sell in two days.

Did you see the guy with the dummy using the HOV lanes last week, who got pulled over? Looked like he was driving a 1st gen.

    both
I was going to order one but when I called the dealership in Aug 22, they didn’t even have a single new Toyota vehicle on the lot and had this one coming in with no claims in it. Wasn’t to thrilled with the manual transmission at first and still need to do the accumulater delete, other than that I am happy with it now with one caveat, the damn reverse gear is too high and I stall out when backing into tough to get in job sites unless I put it in 4 low.

Agree with everything SuperAir said, and the truck is more agile with less weight. It's basically a 2 seater with the occational option for 4 (barely), which I have done twice in the 7 years I've owned mine. For ME the 4 door was a waiste of money, space, and gas. But, if seats for 4 is important to you, this is a bad choice.

You need to do the 2lo mod. It’s worth doing for us MT’s. Backing a trailer is so much easier on the clutch with 2lo. It’s some wire cutting if you can’t get the wiring kit that was offered by a member a while back.
