Are access cab Tacomas not that popular?

My ex sold those back in the day. That's the only reason I remember those stupid kammbacks.

It's my only vehicle. An access cab just wouldn't work for me.
I usually keep the back seat folded down, my dog loves it!
And when I need to have passengers, I can accommodate 4 people (5 is a little tight).

I've had access cab Toyota pickups since the 80's. Never ran into an issue as such with there suicide doors. Idk why it can bother some.

It’s it funny that in the whole rest of this great big world people can actually still get a single cab pickup, but here in the land of obesity some of us think that an access cab is too small.

In the rest of the world that is actually used as a pick up truck.

In America, pickups are family cars, and you need room for your wife, 2.4 kids, dog, two ATVs, and tow your boat wherever you go.

I actually had the 2nd Gen 2 door short cab Taco MT 4x4 at my place in Hanalei, and thought it was a perfect length for a compact to midsize truck.

Toyota didn’t even bother to make that configuration for the third gen.

This comment will be underappreciated...and make me feel guilty when I get into my double cab.

When I bought I wanted the long bed worse than 4 doors. At the time finding a DC LB was like finding rocking horse shit. I came from a 1st gen AC and was happy with it, so a 3rd gen was fine in AC.

Wow, that's awesome. You must not have read why it bothers me, just quoted me. Grocery cart, both doors open, car next to you. If you don't get it, I guess you don't get it. Maybe nobody ever parks next to you. I solved the problem by dumping a quasi "four door" cab for a REAL four door.

It’s illegal in Thailand, but I’ve seen people do it in the city and in the country anyway. The Royal police can’t be bothered.

That kammback gave the Pulsar so much potential, it was ahead of it's time. Had Nissan sold that car a decade later, it would have been popular. I know there was a 2g Pulsar, and the Sentra coupe AKA Nissan 200SX, but no kammback.

It was unpopular for two reasons, it was damn expensive and it leaked.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
    I’m 6’3” and 225.
An access cab is too small.

That kammback was an ACCESSORY! You took the back off of the stock unit and added that roof. I don't recall how it was held on. Needless to say, they didn't sell many.
