or a parking spot smaller than the length of your car....
a spot exactly the length of your DCLB... you cant fit... unless your car hovers. Mine doesn't.
But my DCSB can fit in....

    ask around extra inches matter

My DCSB fits in our compact spaces... :notsure:

DCLB probably the same size as an extended cab full size, which isn't difficult to park either.

Work truck F550 crew cab with a 15 ft Scelzi utility bed is another story.

Access cabs especially fully loaded ones are getting harder to find here in SoCal.
Double Cabs are probably better sellers for those with kids so that's what the dealers order.
For me I don't need the extra doors and the longer truck won't fit my garage.
Took a month of searching for me to find my 2015.

I prefer the access cab because I want the 6' bed and don't like the length of the double cab with long bed. Having full size rear seats would be nice though sometimes.

I do think the access cab looks much better than the double cab too.

I agree. It took me six weeks to find (the only one at the time) my 2014 TRD OR AC in the color I wanted. Drove 200mi to get it too.

I specifically wanted the AC for the bed length. Although I do like the human-centric utility of the DSCB, I wanted the ability to sleep in the back and haul more things. My previous vehicles had back seats (two Subaru's and a Scion tC) and in the last 11 years I've only had people in the back maybe 20 times.

I got the Access Cab so that I could put big things in the back. I've been finding though that the double cabs seem to ride better than the single cabs, I guess there's more weight on the rear axle with them. A double cab that's empty rides a lot like my access cab with a couple hundred pounds in the back.

Or for people who have friends :D

I get it, I did an AC for a while (7 months) and decided that I'd rather be able to use my vehicle for carrying people instead of 1 foot more of whatever I put in my bed. Which, by the way, everything I put in my bed still fits in a 5 foot bed, or if it doesn't fit in the 5 foot, it didn't fit in the 6 foot bed (kayaks, large ladders) which requires a trailer or a rack of some sort anyway.

What's funny is I really did love the AC, but the fact that I couldn't fit a large square piece of luggage in the back seat was absurd. The storage area underneath the fold-out seats takes up too much room and the lack of a flat floor in the 2011+ means you just can't easily fit large, hard things back there. Fitting someone in the back seat "wasn't my problem" until I either had their knees in my back or my chest in the steering wheel because I had to move forward.
