A buddy has a newer Dodge Ram, his back-up camera has highlights on the screen that shows where his tires are tracking as he's backing up. Mine just shows a wide screen, I have to guess where the tires are going. Is there a camera for my taco that has these highlights?

My wife's 2014 Prius has just a camera view, my 2015 Tacoma has the guide lines on the image. You could investigate if the 2015 camera would work on yours and swap.. Might be worth a copart trip.

Thanks geek, I looked it up, as best as I could, & it seems the 2015 cameras have a 6 pin plug, the 2013 has a 4 pin plug. Where could I look for something like I want?'

Maybe look at other Toyota/ Lexis models of the same year, there is a lot of parts sharing in the brand.

Pretty sure the 'guide' you want is embedded in the device projecting the image, not the camera.

    Because...........

I added the rear view with backup display to my '13 5 lug, and before I plugged in the camera, the grid image would display when in reverse.

The addition of the camera simply added the surroundings to the grid.

Initially I thought someday I might like to move it to the head unit. But then I bought a '14 RAV limited. The big screen works great IF the sunlight from outside isn't glaring on the screen. Which would also be a problem in my Tacoma.

So in the mirror it stays for me, seeing as I live in the Sunshine State.

some are in the camera some are in the device playing it. An after market radio will have the options of adding the guide lines, and they will be adjustable through the head unit. Some cameras come with the lines in predisposed positions, and are not movable. You'll see back up cameras with cut here wires for guide lines, to reverse the image and things like that
