Are all gen 1 sr5 seat belts interchangeable ??

    I have a 99 sr5 in need of new drivers seat belt ,does any one know if any year of gen1 tacoma seat belts will fit? Or does it have to be a 1999? Thanks

    i've had issues finding this answer, the part numbers vary as far as I know based on year, color, cab style and seat type. I called the Toyota dealership parts department to get a part number to verify, you might be able to get a for sure answer from them in terms of interchangeability. I'd think if you were taking a 97 belt to put in a 99 that had a similar color if that even mattered, and it came out of a similar truck, like both were extended cab bucket seats or regular cab bench seat you'd be sure it'd fit, otherwise it's maybe a difference of a few inches in length, but I think the buckles are all the same as long as they're front seats to front seats and not from the rear in extended/double cabs.

    my truck for example: driver side 99 SR5 ext cab bucket seat moon mist grey part number: 73220-04090-B0

    Another piece of info that might really help, my sister has a 97 DLX ext cab bench seat moon mist grey and she swapped the passenger side belt to the driver side when it failed and it's working for her

    Appreciate the info . My original thought was to do just that,swap the belts but on my truck they are different mounting bolt paterns. The part number will be helpfull. Thank's again
