    Mine were not that messy with whatever coating they use, but yeah, they had some frosting on em.

    Can you just "cut" it off with a putty knife or something?

    If there's extra goo in between the leafs it'll make them quieter

    I wouldn't worry too much about it

    Well changed them out a few days ago, love these Stage 1 Deaver's, they rock, The OME Meds took a W set - total waste of $$$ POS leafs for certain.

    Looks like he does not have this problem. I didn't think he would. Possibly the opposite...all that extra coating might help keep debris out from between the leaves and keep them silent for longer until it starts to crack from flexing. OP keep us posted. And enjoy.
