WTF are you trying to deffend? Do you have an 05+ Tacoma? Does it have a bug shield on it? If you answer yes to both questions take that fucker off and marvel at the bare metal. if not, I ask again WTF are you trying to defend?

And to the OP; No they are not worth it.

ANY "mod" you do to your Tacoma creates what???? more work for YOU...will you keep up with keeping it BUG free ??,check to make sure it is tight on a WEEKLY basis?? If it comes loose or breaks, will you FIX it right NOW or wait???
Only ONE PERSON answers those, the OP...If you answer yes, then buy BUT if you hesitate on any guess what????

WHY must we "SEE" who can be the biggest "Bama in the clA$$"....boys & girls...LIFE IS TOO SHORT....move on, nothing to SEE here.....;)

Old man, I agree with you completely. Off the body there is not much stock on my truck. I'm sporting more mother nature pin striping than most of thies guys. I really don't care what she looks like, just maintain the mechanics. My MODS constantly require maintinance. I'm not some dude that bought a product and will defend that product just because I own it.(I hate that)

This argument is completely stupid. who gives a shit if a bug hits your windshield (It's gonna happen) and you have a washer and wiper for that. What does a bug shield protect? It sure doesn't prevent bugs from scooping up into and clogging your radiator and it doesn't keep them off your windshield. So why buy one?

Mine came on the truck. The only reason I haven't taken it off is because I figure the paint is screwed up where the mounts are.

THEY WILL NOT STOP ROCKS FROM HITTING YOUR WINDSHIELD.They WILL keep rocks from chipping the front of your hood.I've had them on all my trucks except the Tacoma, and I don't think they stop many bugs either.

my dodge had a bug deflector and I still had many sacrificial bugs make their way to the windshield.
My tacoma has the 3M invisible bra. Many pros and cons.
In the Northeast with salt and sand on the roadways in the winter, anything is better than nothing.

I drove from Colorado to Illinois memorial day weekend, not sure if it cut down the ratio of dead bugs on the windshield or not but my deflector was cake'd with bug guts. mostly going at speeds of 75mph the whole time but occasionally slowing down to 55 on some of the old highways. Then again most of the driving was at night and its spring/summer weather thats a dead bug formula in itself.

My guess is that you found out like so many others that your big 'lift' still left you short where it counts, eh stubby? ...and your reminded every time you 'lift the hood'...

Don't fret, your not the only one who hoped that throwing a ridiculous amount of money at your vehicle would help to...er.. compensate for where you are really 'lacking'.

Speaking of post history, aren't you the kid who weft for a wong time because someone hurt your wittle feewings.

Hope you're all over that 'Big' guy...

Well if all the KIDS ARE DOING IT I thank you. At 62 years of age I love being called a kid.
No really I don't care about the looks I do feel that they serve a good function.

Factory one came with my truck. Damaged the hood, took it off and sold it. On a light color truck, looks shite.
