Picked up a contractor cap for dad and there's gap at the front of the bed that needs to be filled.Looks like either a large piece of weather stripping or trim needs to be used to fill it in. Can anyone that own's either a LEER or ARE contractor cap fill me in as to what fills in the gap?

I think the installer who put mine said he used plumbers putty. The cap has been on there for a few years and I have no leaks.
