I mean, if we take TSS out, everything is very simple. Heated mirrors, seats, windows, power rear window, power sunroof. Mine has manual seats too, ha.

People who have issues with the small stuff here would love some European makes. "Yes, I'll take coolant getting into transmission and takin a crap for....5000"

I still have 10 open spots in my "Your Taco Knobs and You" class

Unfortunately the rates actually go up. TW is considered a pre-existing condition that causes paranoia, panic attacks, rapid purchases and flex pics

That's actually a short online course where it redirects you to "how to install your new rear discs"

Funny thing is, i never owned a vehicle with rear discs. I didnt even pay attention to rear drums until some TW members lost their shit on it. My truck stops on a dime.

Now my ranger...took about 3 blocks.

Yeah, that’s not going to work for me.

Going to have to join Rear drum brakes anonymous...

Can’t talk about it here though, “first rule” and all that.

I think most people come to tacomaworld because they are excited to buy this truck.
Very few people have minor issues and post about their issues.
Everyone else becomes paranoid they may have the same problem, start noticing noises they didn't before, never caused an issue but now they cant un hear it.

For instance, I myself have a post about noise in my car, my brain says its nothing, but I can't help but post about it.

Out of all the vehicles I've ever owned, or rented, I love my Tacoma the most. Tacomaworld will just make you paranoid!

    Yep, 100%.

The other day, it was really hot, and i was trying to hear detonation on my stock tune.

Of course there is none. But sometimes i turn off my music and listen, if im driving along the barrier or a wall haha.

These support groups are important. I'm part of the Sport Support Group where we mainly talk about how the other variants are just jealous of our skewp

When it goes from 6th to 4th and 4500rpms up a grade and then flips between 5th and 6th with the uncertainty akin to asking ones wife where she would like to go out to eat for the entire length of the grade....
I'm thinking it just wasn't engineered for the real world. There is no way a company in 2020 would put out something like this in a competitive truck market and say, "Yeah....this is exactly what we were going for!"
From Youngstown OH to the Pocono exits in PA on I-80, I was physically sick with the realization that Chrysler could probably make a better product.
My kid loves the truck, and we had plans to buy another one for the company. Never going to happen now.
We were going to buy another Tacoma. If I even keep this piece of garbage unusable truck for the next 5 days.....he can have it.
I'm getting either another F150 or a Ridgeline.
It's a shame.....I really liked it until that first real hill.
I own a few trucks for work. All pretty recent models.
This is the worst, but the one I really had high hopes for.
Shame I already dumped a shit ton of money and aftermarket parts for that I will get beat up on if I trade it in already.

I do not want to do a 900 mile return trip in this thing. I honestly don't know if it would make it. Even of it did, there is no way this Tacoma could handle the Ozarks, Going To The Sun Road, the Whites in NH or any other places I fully intended to take it.

    What a huge let down.
But thanks for the tips on how to try to get this function somewhat correctly. I do appreciate that.

I thrashed it around the mountains by the ski areas today to see what it can do. It functioned pretty well as long as I did not use the cruise.
I felt shitty about now worrying if the truck could handle what should be simple. I had very realistic expectations for this truck, as I have a few......some with strong V-8's. I enjoyed the Tacoma on the back roads and up the grades and had no problem as long as I interacted with the throttle and set up for the grades.
Left to do it on cruise? Biggest piece of shit I've ever been in.

The fourth gen Tacoma is probably going to have rear disc brakes, because TNGA with the Tundra.

Should be interesting all the butt hurt that is going to generate on both sides of the aisle...lol
