Anyone with ICON coil over shocks experiencing squeaking? One of my local shops said they have had a lot of installs comeback because the shocks are squeaky after even just a month or two?

You hardly hear of shocks squeaking, it's usually the uniballs in the UCAs but not uncommon.

Only time I had a squeak was when the front remote reservoir was rubbing on the rubber fender liner in the wheel well. Just had to move it out 2mm's and no more squeaking. I think my resi bracket got slightly bent during shipping, hence the touching.

I just put some on my 2015 Tacoma 4x4 with only 17 miles on it. It worked fine for about 4 days with no noise, now I get a noise that I thought was one of the sway bar bushings or control arm bushings. It's not, I lubed those up and still heard a noise when i sat in the truck or moved a foot and applied the brake.

Just read about the O-Ring on the shaft of the shock being the culprit. Many people say to spray the shaft down with motorcycle chain lube and let it tack up. I just now ran to the motorcycle shop and bought some Bel-Ray chain lubricant and sprayed them up.

15 minutes later, no squeak, all solved.... It WAS the O-Ring on the shaft!!!!

    Hope that helps.
