are Maxxtraxx worth it?

$6 for an 8' board. Cut in half for two 4' boards.

$8 for 25 bolts. Buy 2 packs, so $16

Everbilt 3/8 in.-16 x 1 in. Zinc Plated Hex Bolt (25-Pack) 800820 - The Home Depot

I didn't price nuts and washers, but you could drill holes in the decking and attach 20-25 bolts to each 4' section of decking and make 2 for around $25.

 

I also carry cut up rail road ties for jack points and roll blocks. The Russian's didn't bring logs on the tanks to cook smores))

 

How did I justify it?

Years ago, two hours from home and stuck in deep sand, I had to walk out of the woods to go find help.
That was a shitty feeling.

Never again.

 

Ive been there. New to the truck, first time getting stuck in snow. Jumping on the bed, floor mats as traction boards

xbull would probably work fine
Used mine numerous times and they haven’t broken yet

hopefully there’s another sale to $200 for maxtrax
That’s more realistic and closer to xbull than $350

 

If you want to be super deluxe and strengthen them for bridging, put some steel channel on the edges for another couple bucks.

 

I own MaxxTraxx. There expensive. I have no regrets.
