Yeah. There’s a shop here that does all that. I’ll take it here once I get the parts.

You should see if there’s any King or Fox places available near you. King and Fox should be more widely available in other parts of the world than Icon. But also if that’s the case then you’ll probably be better off throwing the Icons in the trash.

If I rebuild the shocks do the reservoirs need to be rebuilt too?

If you are having them taken apart you should replace all the seals and the oil, plus any worn components such as shafts or bearings and misalignment spacers.

Best practice is to have them taken apart by someone with the knowledge, tools, rebuild kit and spare parts on hand to minimize your downtime.

yeah problem is I’m in the Middle East. So I have to order all the parts from the states and ship them here. There are shops that can do the work they just don’t have the parts. So should I just order all the seals for all 8 items? Shocks and reservoirs? And all bearings for upper and lower shocks ? Just to be safe.

I would call Icon or send them an email and ask them what they recommend. Since there aren’t any authorized service locations outside the US they may be willing to provide more support over the phone/email than a local customer.

    http://news.iconvehicledynamics.com/icon-factory-shock-service/

But at a minimum I would get the rebuild kit for all 4 corners and oil sufficient for all 4 if it’s not available locally. @Toytec Lifts or @SDHQ OFFROAD may be able to provide more assistance.

And a shock is a shock and if there is a decent desert off-roading shop in your area they should have experience rebuilding similar suspension components.

Are these both the same? And do they all apply to the front 2.5 coilovers and 2.5 back shocks? Both top and bottom mounts? Thanks

Yeah, any mild soap. When you have grime and build up dirt built up on the chrome, the o rings/ seals will get contaminated as the suspension actuates.

you don't have to go nuts, just every oil change spray some wd40 on an old tooth brush and spend 2 minutes on it and rinse it off
