So I got a cmc done because my tire was rubbing in the inside part of the frame and I put some bora 1.25” spacers and now it’s rubbing on the area where they did the chop Smh. I’m running icon 2.5 cdcv with resi, camburg tubular, method 17” and BFG 285/70/17. Are my tires just to big? Will getting my caster forward solve it?

    The spacers are your problem.

Remove the spacers and see where that leaves you, if still close. You’ll need to get an alignment with 3-4* of caster and recheck. Good luck. Keep us posted.

You can move the caster forward a bit but that chop is a bit conservative. They left a bit of meat on the bone so to speak. You can go back another inch at least. That’s how I do mine.

Here’s the problem when I didn’t have the spacers the tire was rubbing on the inside part of the frame every time I was going up hills on curvy roads I couldn’t even go fast. Would 75” be better option or smaller tire like a 275?

I was thinking the same thing about the chop but man now I’m going up to bass lake on the weekend so hopefully the same shop will take care it before that. I’m thinking it’s going to rub going up hills on curvy roads

A good CMC and alignment you’ll be able to fit 285 - but I was rubbing with 265/75/16 when I put a wheel spacer in. I have 285/75/16 now with a proper chop and no rubbing.

yeah I think nuts my chop because I’m noticing more on the drivers side and the chop looks like it has more meat. 1st Pic is drivers side

If they can’t take care of it let me know. I can probably get you in before the weekend but if they can do it for free then that’s always better.

Try removing the spacers, brother, and what’s you’re alignment like? I don’t rub any of those areas and I have 295’s

No, he's asking what the wheel specs are, not the tire. It sounds like they might be something like 17x9 with 0 offset. Even that shouldn't rub the frame so your offset might really be something like +6 or +12. I had 16x8 wheels with 0 offset and 285/75/16 and did not rub the frame or cmc. The front plastic is easy to trim but your spacers are probably pushing the wheel out too far causing the rub on the cmc. The wheel specs (or part #) will give a better idea of what's going on.

I'd rather have it trying to rub on the front fender wells than the cab mount area. The front fender wells just require a bit of heat gun love. Warm them up so they are pliable and then you can use something to roll them out and stretch them a bit. Hold the shape you want till they cool and then they'll stay that way.

Also, the little "bulge" in the fender liner at the very bottom with a hole in it...you can remove the two screws that hold that to the bumper, drill new holes slightly further back in it, and then push it further forward so the new holes have the screws pass through them. This will hold that fender liner further forward adding a fair amount of clearance.

Your tires are not too big, I have the same tires and they do not rub.
It looks like you CMC is not correct. The replacement piece sticks out to far as others have stated. Also the caster can be adjusted as you say. Here are a couple pictures of mine done with the pinch weld hammered down. 17" Icon Alpha Wheels BFG KO2's 285/70/17's, 2015 DCSB 4x4 TRD OR, 2 1/2 " lift

    Need wheel information.

0 offset wheels shouldn’t be rubbing on the frame without the spacers.
