I was told by a local dealer that I will need to purchase new seals for the Tire Pressure monitoring sensors to be mounted on the new wheels. I was transferred to parts, they told me that the kit is about $9 each, needing 4 kits per wheel.

My truck has 3,000 miles on it. Is this something I need to get with the mounting and balancing or not?

discount charges 5 dollars per wheel so you are paying 4 bucks more a tire.
Still a number I could live with.

I spoke with another dealer (Jay Wolfe Toyota in St. Louis), they quoted me $40 LESS to remove the tires from my current wheels, mount them on the new wheels, and balance them. They also said they doubt I need new TPMS seals, but if I do, then they'd take care of it.

That other stealership can go fly a kite... (Seeger Toyota in St. Louis, by the way).

    I like your quote

"the other stealership can go fly a kite"" priceless!

Glad you got it all worked out, my stealership loves to mark things up too so I avoid as much as possible. Bass tards!

With the economy how it is, you'd think loyal customers would be more important than making a few more bucks on mounting and balancing 4 wheels.
