This will definitely help, but even then most people (myself included) didn't need to remove the sway bar or loosen the LCAs to install their coilovers.

Removing the sway bar, or at least undoing the end links, will allow more droop.

I remember having mine off anyway since I was replacing all the bushings and never had to use a bottle jack or pry bar to get the coilovers in, just a little downward pressure

Would make sense; had to use the bottle jack on both my vehicles when I put coilovers on each one.

Didn't loosen the cam bolts at all and both vehicles had the sway bars on; kind of dumb to have left them on really since I had taken them off shortly after.

what do the links look like? I was just going to loosen the cam and unbotton the steering knuckle. Is your method easier?

What the...why are you messing with the spindle?

Some have had success with loosening the lower control arm via cam bolts, just mark them as suggested so you can put them back in place. You'll need an alignment after lifting anyway so it doesn't have to be perfect.

Just look at your truck; your end links have an allen key insert and a bolt outside if they're OEM.

Some people use a box/open ended wrench and allen key but I've been successful in zipping them off with an impact alone.

Stupid easy and takes 10 seconds to zip them off on both ends.

Here you can see the end links at the end of the sway bar.

Total of maybe 5 minutes to remove completely if you wanted to. Good time to replace the bushings as well on the sway bar, or leave the sway bar completely off like most of us do.

    @Cutter_

I'm only showing you what @frizzman suggested, as he is right in that unbuttoning the sway bar will help provide some needed droop.

My method, was already posted before in your other threads, which was simply the use of a bottle jack.

I’m doing a tundra brake upgrade next month when I get my rims + tires. I haven’t done the Dakar leafs + extended brake line yet. I know that once I play with the brake line I have to vacuum it. I need to flush the whole system it hasn’t been done in a long time. Can I throw the Dakars on without extending the brake line for about a month? I’m not doing any Offroading. I’d like to just do the whole brake system all at once

I had Dakar's for months before I did my brake line.

You'll never need it if you don't actually off road anyway.

It will be fine. Just be mindful of the stock brake line's limitations if/when you jack up the rear of the truck to work on it, after the Dakars are installed.

I should clarify, if you lift one side vs the other or lift the frame and lower the axle....if you just lift the rear via the rear diff it won't effect the brake line since it will all go up together.

Anyway you know what I mean

I made that sound more confusing than I should have, I got like 4 hours of sleep last night lol.

If you droop the suspension in your driveway just make sure the stock brake line doesn't get stretched

    There that's better :luvya:

Why would he droop his suspension if he just installed new suspension.

You can get better flex shots at the mall for the 'gram :luvya:
