Interior LEDs, all weather mats, TRD performance CAI, trifold hard tonneau cover, predator pro step, accessory interior/exterior illumination package. Kicker tweeters, Kicker speakers.
Exactly right, the smart move is to finance when interest rates are still low. It feels good to say you pay cash, and have no payments if you're in that position, but the wiser thing to do is appreciate that cash by investing.

I hear this a lot. And I dont disagree. The problem is that the majority of the people finance and pay interest on a depreciating asset and never invest any of the money they were gonna use to pay it cash.

99% of people finance because they have to; they don't have the expendable income to buy outright. It's not that they are smart investors. And I'm not knocking anyone that does. But let's have an honest dialogue about it.

I happen to be the type of person that avoids debt. There is a soft cost to having even zero interest debt that no one ever factors into their analysis. I happen to believe that this way of thinking is one of the reasons I am in the position that I can pay cash for a vehicle and also have moneys in investments.

+1, dividends net that after taxes. I had 1.74% secured when I bought my Tundra on August. Chose to give up some rebate and got 0.0% instead. No processing fee here.I always take advantage of promotional free interest. Just set up ACH payments to pay off before promotional period ends. I keep a little savings account for emergencies but other than that my money is invested. Stocks are my choice right now. Tech, energy, and building supplies.

Usually 0% is offered alongside a cash deal instead. In most cases, you would come out ahead taking the cash.

Not really. It depends on interest rate. When I bought the Tacoma in August I had to be at 1.74% to break even. I was going to take cash and 1.79 because I usually pay off early but the CC said I submitted app twice and slapped a 48 hold on it. Even in August getting under 2 was tough. Finance guy at dealer did not believe me when I said I secured 1.79%. I ran a model in Excel on the payback. I included tax impact. Also depends on loan period and how much cash. In my case it was only $1500. Also the amount financed comes in to play. Lots of variables and that is why i modeled it.

in 2017 I got a 2017 Tacoma sport and definitely did not pay msrp. I have never paid msrp for a car ever. just go between dealerships and see who has the lower price and then have them price match and then haggle lower. got mine at least 4-5 k cheaper than msrp. then had my trade in so the payments were not really much. patience is key!

It’s not. You can get it in manual. There are lots of posts about this. As with all Tacoma’s, there are a lot more A/T than M/T

But that wasn’t a pro....so not sure how that is relevant in this thread. You can’t really “haggle” price on a Pro. Dealer will tell you to kick rocks.

I thought his thread was about pro pricing, not a bash auto thread. Strange.

Well, didn’t take long for the trolls who have Pro envy to derail this thread which as a reminder is on Pro prices not on my MT is better than your Auto. :boink:

The blue Pro I saw in northern AL offered 750 discount from MSRP, but then had a $1300 dealer document fee...average in the state is $500, so that's basically MSRP. They will try to balance it out somehow.

I got my 2017 TRD Pro for MSRP in SoCal. All other dealers around here wanted 5-10k "market adjustments"

Too much buzz. I'd rather buy a Raptor for that price. I'm very happy with my upgraded SR5.

Got my PRO at 43k and some change out in Hawaii, and most cars out here are marked up because of it being on an island and the delivery to such a remote place.

I thought about between the OR and PRO and decided on the PRO. It's a little more than just a grille and some suspension .

Yea, not really interested in buying new. I got a jackpot deal with my Taco, one owner gently used from an old guy. Those deals are out there.
