Most defiantly, for most people the pro is over kill but there are the people that will benefit from the pro.

It’s like you buying you pro wheels for the “Bro Cool” factor but applying that to the whole truck.

    Absolutely!!! However, 800.00 vs 8,000.00.

I’m sure there are guys who would say you could have just rattle canned your Steelies black for 8 bux. Point being, it was worth the 800 for you to buy pro wheels, just like it is probably worth it to pro owners to spend the extra 8 grand. That’s why they did.

Except that is not MSRP. I have the same, with the floor protectors and the sill protection, plus I got the door edge guard. MSRP = $44,883

Interior LEDs, all weather mats, TRD performance CAI, trifold hard tonneau cover, predator pro step, accessory interior/exterior illumination package. Kicker tweeters, Kicker speakers.
That's the right direction to go, let your money work for you, take advantage of low or 0% and keep your money invested.

Yep, just like dealer options. They don't list those on internet. Lots of dealers around here have $1k of overly marked up options. Dealer offered me a Tundra Pro at MSRP. I told him I do not pay MSRP for anything. He said my loss. I replied with no yours because you lost my business.

If it is worth it, then absolutely do it!! Make yourself happy.

However, if it's not about the money, then don't ask your TW buddys about the price.

The question wasn’t if a pro is worth MSRP. The question was if people are paying MsRP. A subtle, but very different question.

I’m in the northeast, and was able to get mine for (slighty) less than MSRP due to the “vehicle upgrade program” (traded in my 16 TRD off road) and some aggressive negotiating. That’s definitely not the norm, but it can happen. All the dealers seem to have the same script, i.e “oh golly gee what a rare truck, last year for the pros blah blah.”
I wouldn’t pay over MSRP, it’s just not worth it, no matter what nonsense they are tacking onto the truck.

Whats the hate for the trd pros? Are you guys salty? People call the sr5 cheap and the trd pro dumb. Is the trd offroad superior because its a semi-equiped model you can “build yourself “ ? I had a 17 trd offroad and now a 18 pro and i love every little thing that it offers. I say worry about your truck and not someone else’s...

Most dealers around here want 5-10k over retail. If loaded it can make a raptor 70-80k. Like them, but not that much. Used raptor bring close to the original Msrp even with 20-30k miles around here.

Heck retail on a raptor with leather and lowest pkg approaches 60k.

When I built a loaded raptor and got quotes around here it was between 70-80k. Love the raptor but won't fit in my garage or fit in half the parkijng spaces in town. Not paying that for a truck I couldn't use every day.

Dealers are weird. My local has a 17 Cement PRO for the MSRP plus a 5k addendum but the "sale" price is was 54k now 52k. The numbers don't add up cause with the 5k addendum it's 49. Says so right on sticker.

Also a lot of dealers add addendums. I can't remember the model but I believe it's a hellcat challenger? But Chrysler has added a clause to purchase that you must keep it for a certain time period of like 20 months or face a lawsuit. Ford as well as they are suing John Cena for selling his 17 GT.

Since I didn't pay Msrp for my Pro, I got a cool truck I could actually use and spent 30k less than I would've on a raptor.

Ranger raptor could be very cool, but you know when they first come out and for a year or two they will bring dumb money since ford hasn't had a small truck since 2011.

I traded in a '17 Focus RS for my TRD PRO and I couldn't be happier. I waited to buy the RS after the initial hype had worn down and dealers came back to planet earth with their pricing. In just a one-year span, RS's went from $5k+ markups to dealers desperate to get rid of them. Got mine for $1k under invoice. I would wait on the Ranger Raptor for at least a year after launch to avoid the hype pricing and give Ford an opportunity to work out any bugs it may have.

I was in the same boat. Raptor pretty awesome but too big, too thirsty, and well, great to drive about 20% of the time. That's why I'm picking up my not as big, not as thirsty, pretty darn cool to drive 90% of the time Pro on Monday. Couldn't be happier with my decision, though I better reserve judgement until I'm actually behind the wheel!
