I see that the 2016 Tacoma comes with a pitch and roll readout on the LCD gauge display. Does anyone know if the computer records a maximum front and rear pitch and left and right roll? I think this could be used for Toyota Service departments to cancel warrantee work if they think you have been off roading the truck.

Does anyone know or am I going all Dale Gribble??

In another thread I asked is the pitch/roll was just on the OR or if the Sport and Limited also has it.

I doubt that "off road" use would cause Toyota to turn down a warranty claim. Just look at the commercials.
That said if when using the Tacoma off road and you broke a shock, ripped a boot, etc, that would most likely not be a warranty item.

Buy the off road .. But if you use it off road you have no warranty.

Vehicles with stability control have a yaw rate sensor which measures the same thing. Only records in an accident. Toyota can only retrieve the information and I believe its only to protect themselves in lawsuits.

The event data recorder keeps every full brake application &/or airbag deployment stored in the center airbag ecu.
By law it has to be accessible to the government & auto insurance companies by a standard protocol type retrieval device on all 2015 & newer car & trucks sold in the USA. Whether it's Hyundai, Ford or Toyota they all have to store this information

Hmmm wonder if Law Enforcement would access this data to determine if someone was speeding in an accident. .perhaps in a fatality case where the driver is being prosecuted they could subpoena the info. Hmmmmmmmm

The commercials don't mean a thing. There is a member here who was warranty denied over mud being found on his undercarriage because the truck had signs of "offroad use."

On a TRD OR 4x4 no less, IIRC.
