I'm buying the icon 2.5 shocks pretty soon here and I'm trying to decide whether not to get them with resis. Maybe I am wrong but it is my understanding that External resis only make a difference for temperature if you plan on doing Baja style racing. I only do 5–10 mile an hour rock crawling up in the mountains so I'm wondering if it's worth it for me to pick up shock with resis. Is there any additional benefits?

But if I'm only climbing up the side of a mountain at 5 mph is it worth it for me?

I'm not going to be bombing dunes or anything like that with this truck so I wouldn't expect that they would get THAT hot

Is there no extra benefits to the external reservoirs? Will it make driving on-road any better?

All resis do is increase the amount of oil which in turn helps with keeping the oil cooler under extreme prolonged use. It will not make on road driveing any different.
But there is an extra benefit that people always overlook...Resis will always pull bitches at the mall

Yes, but I do a mix of off road driving from crawling to bombing down fire roads and in the desert. As one guy mentioned the typical "middle of the road" option is rears with resis and fronts non-resi.
