C'mon, you know as well as I do that 3-4 inches in Denver is so powdery that you can remove it with a leaf blower. You could drive a lawnmower over it. And in the late winter 3-4 inches melts in hours. Very few days are bad enough that you cannot drive a car and usually everything shuts down on those days anyway. I drove a front wheel drive POS with all season tires for almost 3 years. Never took a day off unless we were shut down

But you guys are right Porsches don't work in the snow:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Don't know why you think I live in Denver....

1st vid: Porsche was all over the road. Totally unsafe with other traffic

2nd vid: totally failed to gain traction, was going sideways. Useless

3rd vid: a pre cut/plowed "track" doesn't tell us anything lmao

I figured that's where you live, not sure how my foot is in my mouth via your videos not being in Denver.... The lack of logic here is headache inducing o_O

My first Tacoma was a 2017 sport- I just sold it for almost what I paid for it after 94,000 miles. It drove perfectly- just the same as the day I purchased it. I really hated selling it. Absolutely no issues only regular maintenance. I only sold it to purchase a 2021 Model. These trucks really feel like loyal companions after years of ownership.

The lack of logic is in your argument. Think about it. When anyone makes a blanket statement that audis and porsches stay home, there is no logic there. If you really believe that, then you have never been to Germany, Austria or Switzerland and many places in the US. I am just proving you wrong.

Did you ever think that you just live in an economically depressed area and have just never seen nice german cars in the snow:D

Regardless, the point is proven, keep on arguing over wrong assertions. :fistbump:

That part when I found the discount online price being $800 was then $1000 to install in labor to drop and split the t-case. I think they also burned $200 changing the dash switch which wasn't it before they settled on the t-case actuator.

    OME and worth every penny.
EVERYTHING from 20 yrs. ago needs new ball joints. My Dakota before the Taco needed BJ's and brakes every 2 yrs.

I really don't understand how brakes last so long on a Taco.

Ok, so it was an actual part in the diff, not the electrical switch. I misunderstood.

Ill find out on my Tacoma about the brakes, but the original rear shoes lasted me till 115k miles on my 2007 ranger, I was impressed.

I feel TRD is way over used.... definitely has been diluted over time. I would drop TRD from the Sport and Off Road and save it for just the Pro model at this point.

TRD is a trim level at this point. That is why Toyota is moving to GR on its top tier sports car packages. The same thing has happened to other brands. Mercedes AMG and BMW M are good examples.

I think that is the right move. They need a more exclusive designation for vehicles with real factory mods rather than just trims. 50% of Tacomas sold are TRD now. When you are selling as many of those as base SRs, you know that TRD has lost its true meaning.

My 2016 TRD OR was the most unreliable vehicle I have owned when it came to unscheduled dealer visits. 9 visits in 2 years/30K miles from everything spanning to front diff replacement to rust repair. Needless to say I sold it. I would get a 14/15 Tacoma if I was to buy another.

The salesman says most reliable, until you sign on the line, then the finance dept. wants to sell you all the extended warranties up the ying yang. My 97 was reliable until290000kms the rust ate the frame, welded up and still going after waterpumps head gaskets, alternators, brakes, muffler ball joints, been sold a few times but still kickin, sad to see the end coming.

Well since the off road and the pro are the same truck and the only difference is $2k worth of suspension and skid(and I'm being generous here), the TRD name should probably be dropped from the whole line. Since just adding shocks doesn't equate to racing development.

The smarter move would be to make the TRD sport to the SR5 line. SR5 Sport for example. Then leave the TRD OR and Pro as is, since they both employ major improvements over softer, less heavily built SR brethren.

They arent going to. There is still brand equity in the TRD name. The TRD Offroad trim has been around for decades and is mostly the same. Bilstein shocks, locker and skid plate. I do think there is a good chance that whatever the 4th Gen Pro looks like, that it will have the GR branding on it rather than TRD.
