    I do see the OP's concern though, I had the same thought after I bought my '06 used and hit the forums, lots of negativity when compared to the positive posts, even though these trucks have no real competition. I'm overall all quite happy with mine, even though I think the older toyotas were better, this one isn't rusty and doesn't have any lack of power. I'd rather push it than drive a furd, chebby, or a dodge lamb.
