New member here- had to chime in, I have a 2017 TRD OR AT, just about 144k on the clock and no issues! Just enjoy doing some routine oil changes and such, recently replaced serpentine belt. Truck is used for daily 200-300 mile trips, on and off road….love this truck!

I’ve never had issues with TSS, actually it might have saved me from rear ending someone. I’m lifted 2” by the way. The only time I had the yellow TSS dash light, was during the snow storm, does not bother me one bit. Adaptive cruise control is fantastic too.

You’ve got no issues only because you got the right color.

Take those with a grain of sea salt. By its nature, people wanna vent and complain and post their experiences on the inter webs.
So mentally, all you see are complaints and none of the (surely majority) of the happy customers out there. Every manufacturer, every gen, every year has their lemons.

    2017: not shifting properly….

What a load of shit. People can’t get used to the modern times, drivetrains are programmed for efficiency and emissions. There are absolutely no reliability concerns with 3rd gen ATs. I drive a manual and I think this AT will outlast my manual.

I wasn’t clear hah. I was trying to say that I will need to replace my clutch at 150-200k and this AT will probably just keep on ticking.

Im sorry manual transmission gods, you know I love you. I even have an MT sticker in the back.

    :sorry:

But honestly, I think you can get 300-500k out of both. Easily.

Gotta look at prices to consider the used truck. It still holds that used are so expensive that new is very close in price. In my opinion it’s worth going new. Except maybe for crawl control- did that ever get fixed on 21s??
