I put down a deposit on a private owners 2013 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x4 with 28,000 miles. I purchased because he said it had a whiz bang warranty from Toyota that was good for like 6 more years and 70,000 more miles. IS this BS and if its not, is it really transferable?? If so at what cost to me.

^THIS. Ask for some paperwork and it isn’t worth anything in my book if it’s 3rd party even if it’s transferable.

Put down a small deposit depending on the warranty and Carfax being ok that I will run.

I suggested in your other thread on the topic to check out the warranty closely to determine if it really has value, and listed the 3 kinds of warranty it could be.

Does not mean you should not buy the truck. Only means not to pay a premium for the warranty until you know what it is.

And keep in mind that carfax is ok. But only as good as what someone puts into it. IE I paid oop to repair a dustup I had that replaced a door. It will never be in carfax.

A 2013 with 28k miles is a bit of a unicorn. Depending on price you may want to grab it.

This ^^^!!! A 2013 with 28k. Who gives a shit about the warranty. Take it to good mechanic and spend $100 and have him give a complete check.
