My bf has a Chevy 2500HD Duramax, it handles better in the rain than my truck even with mud tires on it because it is heavier and more balanced then our trucks. The rear ends on these trucks are very light which is why people in places where it rains/snows a lot put weight in the beds over the rear axle. With some practice and patience you can get through the few rainy days you will have in Cali.

Thanks, for the compliment. My bf is a auto mechanic, so I've learned a lot from him and a lot from just reading this forum. I'm a tom-boy and proud of it, been one all my life too, I was my Dads helper and he is a mechanic. I also ride atv's and have modded both my quads, I know more about them than my bf does and I help out all the chicks in our group that ride too.

Some times these guys who are knowledgable don't know how to put things in terms that girls will understand ;).

Hope you have figured it all out and keep on learning about your truck.
