I have a 2009 DC TRD OR 4x4. I just got the truck recently and am trying to grease the zerks. I got 4 out of 5 that I have found. The 5th one, the furthest forward on the 4x4 drive line, I am unable to get to. The connection piece to the hose of the grease gun only seems to connect at one very hard to reach angle and every time I connect it there and pump away, grease only comes out in the fitting on the nipple and not through the knuckle/joint like it did at the other 4 zerks I greased.

    1) Anyone else have this issue?
    2) Remedy?
    3) Are there more than 5 zerks? Should I be looking for more?

    1) I have this issue on a regular, especially with the u-joint on the front driveshaft right by the transfer case.
    2) It might be a pain, but you will have to use one hand to push the grease gun end onto the nipple with a lot of force, while the other hand pumps. I have to do that on almost all of the locations because I have a cheaper grease gun, and if I don't it will come out around the grease gun end.

Yeah, unfortunately I will have to try again tomorrow with that last one. I think I will engage the 4wd to turn the driveshaft a bit more for a better angle. Then I will try to clean the nipple really well and see if I can get a better connection that way. Hopefully it works. I didn't have any issues with the other 4.

The front driveshaft is able to be turned by hand when in 2HI, making finding the nipple easier
