I just did an Auto Trader search on a 2012 to 2013. We got ours two years ago. At the time, we were finding 50k mile examples hovering $26 to $28 and it blew my mind. My wife found out truck 80 miles away with 20k miles and they guy only wanted $23,500. Needless to say, we jumped on it. She was on the fence about manual or auto, but I prefer the third pedal.

Smart enough to bring our checkbook we test drove it and gave him a $1000 deposit. I would usually haggle a bit, but did not want to loose this truck. We ended up at $23k flat, went home and came back two weeks later with the rest of the money.

Do not compromise on your search. If you get an auto you be be kicking yourself down the road.

    First wheeling trip in ours

I just made a purchase on a 2015 dcsb 4x4 or with the 6 speed. I looked for a couple months and in the pacific Northwest where I live in managed to find 3 or 4 nice Ac 4x4s with the manual but only 1 with the or package. I also found 3 nice dcsb all of them had or package. prices seemed to be set the same as the automatic but they seemed to be more flexible on the price because they had sat on the lot longer. it was kinda funny, one minute they would say "this 6 speed is rare, you better get it now or it will be gone" then, almost in the next breath he would say " I can work a great deal on this one because it's been on our lot a while"....o_O mine has 17k on it and I paid just a bit over 30k. it was a fair amount lower than kbb and I know that the automatics are selling above kbb around here.

I bought my Certified Used 2014 dcsb TRD OR 4X4 with just under 14K miles, spring of 2015, for $32K (out-the-door). It took about 6 months to find, but I'm glad I waited for it.

I traded my 2k7 TRD offroad auto for a 4x4 Base DCSB and I have no regrets. The clutch can be a little stiff when cold, but I am planning to do a bleed to see if replacing the fluid helps.

She will like the drive. This post gives me a good idea what to ask for mine next year when sell. I wanted one without graphics but could not find one in Tx. The dealer was going to remove the graphics but we decided to leave them for resale value. Now you need to flip those tires. You should have a supplemental door sticker that reads 46 PSI. 46 is a little high. I ran it until I hit 70k and then dropped down to about 40. I will have 78k on my tires when I replace in 3 weeks and they will still not be to the wear bars.

    None.
I really wanted a 6-sp, 4WD light color double cab. And my budget was under $20k. I live in Dallas (thus the light color). I found an one in upstate NY and an 09 TRDS in Kentucky. I ended up buying the one from Kentucky last August (I had to be in Tennessee so I flew to Kentucky and drove it home :)

I paid around $18.5k for 114k miles. It's pretty clean and it runs and drives great. It's got a bit of rust but I am working on that. So far, I've replaced the motor oil as well as gear oil in both diffs, transfer case and transmission. Looks like they had never been changed. Royal Purple to the rescue.

Oh, and the speedometer didn't work. I got the dealer to pay me $250 for that and replaced it with one off of Ebay that works fine. Except the odometer is about 25k miles too high. I think the computer stores the correct mileage. Anyone know if that is correct? Will a Toyota dealership correct it for me?

Some people will think KBB.com is the bible. I entreed all the information for my 2012 ACLB with six speed V6 4x4 and got a value of $23,168. I went back and selected the automatic transmission and it spit out $23,720. I then went to NADA.com and did the same thing. With the manual I got $20,600 and I had a -$500 for the manual. No big shock when I changed it to automatic it spit out $21,100.

With all that said, if I could buy my truck again for $20,600, I would get three of them. Another factor is the buyer. I will go out of my way to get a manual transmission vehicle, and other people will walk away from one.

NADA and KBB are supposed to base the price on a National average. That being said, there is an ass for every seat. I do not really hold any stock in these numbers as I am confident I could sell our truck right now for $28k neighborhood.

The value of a vehicle is what someone is willing to give you for it.
