I just got a bunch of letters the next year telling me how I could "straight trade" my truck for a 2016 Off Road. Pft.

Also I got a letter saying that they didn't charge me the right amount for my registration when I took delivery and wanted me to send them a check for $55. Nope.

I got the fucking run around bullshit on mine. Went to talk to a friend of mines neighbor, who they've bought a couple of cars from so he was getting a bird dog on it. I got passed on to some other dipshit that knew jack shit and then back to my friends neighbor then back to dipshit. My credit is good and it was a pretty simple deal that took 2 days and 4 hours Saturday morning before leaving to a huge family birthday party. I fucking hate dealers, I've only had one good experience and it was with a used Fj.

I got all kinds of "free" stuff. Stainless coffee mug that says Toyota that "custom" fits the Taco cup holders. Got a T-shirt and a packet of flower seeds... (a little strange). Not sure if everyone gets this, but in the truck I got an extra camera wire harness and an extra set of 4 bed rail clamps.

Received a useless Welcome/Congrats Toyota packet in the mail.

    Have not received any survey.

I received an email link from Toyota to a survey a couple of days after picking up my truck. I rated my salesman high because he was great. I rated the manager who ordered my truck high because he was helpful and responsive. I received an email from my salesman almost immediately after I completed the survey. He was surprised and frustrated after reading my comments in the survey. The only issue I mentioned was that the license plate front bracket was mounted crooked. The detail guy hurried the process and screwed it up. And the service dept. said they couldn't warranty the labor for replacing the lower bumper balance. They gave me a new valance "in good will" and I fixed it myself. I mentioned all of this in my survey and it appears the dealership, including my salesman, took a hit. Bummer because it should have landed squarely on the the detail guy and possibly the service dept. I guess it shows they read comments in these surveys.

I got the most perfect looking $1 bill I've ever seen and a JD Power survey. You'd think they'd at least send you enough $ to buy a six pack after buying a new truck.

I got the Toyota welcome package but nobody sent me a dollar. And the online bill pay thingy still has my last car. I had to call and make a payment by phone.

I actually had a salesman (not Toyota) tell me I was keeping him from feeding his kids because of me lowballing him. Lol.
I told him he should get a second job.

I got a tin of cookies from what appeared to be a nice shop. They were damn good and there was about 15 large cookies in it. It was from the dealership though, not Toyota

    all tore up already
If he didnt explain the grading system its on him but when i sold cars for japanese auto manufacturers all 3 were the same. 10=50-100% satisfied, 9=45% satisfied, 8=40% satisfied etc. To get my end of month bonuses one requirement was csi had to be at or above region average which was usually 96-98% so for every person that gave me a 9 id need 10-20 perfect scores that month or id lose out on thousands.

Thats the equivalent of tabbing out after a night drinking, seeing your bill is 119.38 and leaving 120. Then coming back in and asking for a toothpick. Yeah they will probably give you one but i bet they rather poke it into your eye. You likely cost the kid thousands who genuinely did all he could to take care of you. And blamed his boss for justification. Buy just like servers make a couple bucks an hour the kid probably made 50 bucks for all his dealings with you.

I did inform him that I hadn't received it about a month after I bought the truck. He's the kind of person that I would go out of my way to say hello to when I'm at the dealership. When I bought my touch up paint I wanted to make sure that I mention his name so he gets credit for me buying things.

I'm afraid this dealership might be a little squirrley. Maybe he's getting screwed over. Now I will get more aggressive in finding out what's going on. The way I understand the structure of the commision, he gets $200 but if he gets a good review he gets $300. I'd rather he gets this holdback or whatever you call it than the stealership. It's the sales guys that these places should take care of when they are good.

I think I'll call one of the direct Toyota customer service numbers to see where that goes regarding the survey. Then I'll ask about any welcome package LOL.
