Are Wheelers steelies the only ones that fit?

I have been searching around here for a while, and havent found a definite answer. I want to get black steel wheels for my 08 doublecab TRD sport.

I like the procomp rockcrawler. I was looking on 4wheelparts.com and found some 16x8 with 4" backspacing. Will these fit without spacers or grinding my calipers? http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/R...209&t_pt=100021&t_pl=100347&t_pn=PCW52-6883S4

Or do I have to get the wheelers steel rims, I read that they are custom made to fit the 2nd gen Tacoma,

Wheelers sound great, but they seem to make it difficult to buy anything from Canada because they wont accept international credit cards. I have never had an issue with any other purchase from the states.

I think the ProComps will fit, but you should simply call them to be sure. They've got a number listed on their website www.procomptires.com

I have FJ Cruiser 17" steelies. They are tough looking and you don't see many Tacomas sporting them.

I've called the 4wheelparts.com guys before and they have some sort of disclaimer for all Tacoma's. He basically told me that none of their steel wheels fit and he wasnt authorized to tell me how to make them fit. i.e. Grinding the calipers. They do offer free shipping sometimes tho...so it might be worth the extra work. Have you tried calling wheelers offroad to see if they could work out some other sort of payment? I just got the steelies and I'm pretty happy with them. they're are a butt ton heavier but I knew that getting into them. Afterall they are steel.....

I asked the same question a few weeks ago. The general consensus from other TW members AND 4wheelparts, is that the procomp steel WILL NOT fit our trucks. That being said, I went with the 7089's for only a few $'s more
