    Hello and Welcome!

Firstly, this thread is not about you it's about your truck and what a glutton it is.

No doubt Tacomaworld is great about emptying people's pockets on various mods they saw or read about. Some go so far to hate the way their truck drives and they end of trading it in for something else.

As most of you know, adding mods adds weight but often we estimate these weights to get a general idea of where we might be. I have mostly estimated my weights but was mildly surprised when I went to the dump recently and found out how much this fat buffalo actually weighs.

Post up your weight with some of the details, pics are welcome.

To keep the thread clean, please try to post scaled weight, not your random guess based on estimates but if you are guessing add a caveat. Also please refrain from posting entire builds.

    Cab: Double
    Bed: Short
    Model: TRD OR
    Empty Weight: 6100 lbs
    Family Weight: 6480 lbs
    Expo Weight: 6780 lbs*
    *estimate

    Heavy Mods:
    Front Bumper w/steel winch
    Rear Bumper (w/ dual swing)
    Full skids
    Sliders

As someone who regularly goes to the dump, beware that their scales aren’t always accurate and may be in need of calibration. The only thing they’re interested in, is the weight difference between you arriving and leaving, so a scale that isn’t properly calibrated doesn’t matter to them.

Happens I was at the dump today. They recently put a new scale in so it’s probably accurate…

    2019 OR LB @ 5,280 lbs

I have the ARE Overland cap on there. No aftermarket bumpers or sliders.

Chunky, good call adding the tongue weight, didn't even think of that.

There's a weigh station along 101, between Winchester Bay and North Bend/Coos bay. I like to stop there. I've never seen it manned. No shack. Just a scale, with the screen always on. I hit it when I cruise by on my way sand camping. Usually have the trailer in tow. I've hit it... 3 or 4 times now. It's for the OSP, so I'd assume they keep it calibrated.

    Heavy Mods:
Not a thing! Empty weight includes auxiliary battery, fridge, Diamondback cover (original scale weight was 4460). Soon to go up a tire size. Expo weight would include roof top tent, camping gear, two dumb dogs, and is almost at max payload (5610)!

This is one of my peeves with the Taco, so easy to hit max weight.

You make your family ride in the bed? Guess that's one way to help with weight distribution?
