    I think my mileage is not as good as it should be....4 banger 3" lifted w/ 265/65/17's.....always less than 20 mpg and I almost only do hwy miles :confused:

    I get 14.5mpg, mines a v6 auto with a trd cai and trd exhaust. I'm also running a 3 inch lift with 285/70R17 wheels which I'm sure is causing the bad gas mileage. Still beats my old Tundra (12mpg bone stock)

    I got 18.3 mpg in the city most recently, never went above 2k rpms, 87 octane. I have a flowmaster and 33" tires with 3" lift. Very surprised with my results!

    Agree 100%. It's a truck. If you can't afford gas, it's time to get an econobox. I sold my Civic recently for the Taco knowing I would go from 40MPG to 19MPG.

    it all depends on your driving habit. I've got the TRD CAI w/AFE Pro Dry S Filter, DTLH, and APR X-1...with a full tank 21.1 gallons and shifting at 2K for every gear I am able to average 400+ miles per tank...I don't ever let my tank drop below 1/4 tank but when I fill up at 1/4 tank I am usually near 310-320 miles... that means i'm averaging between 21-22 miles per gallon...

    this is with a mixture of highway and city streets...

    Toytec TRD PRO LIFT with 1.5 SAW in rear, 255 Coopers, Baja Rack, Southern Style Front Bumper, Warn Wireless Winch, DeMello Sliders.
    I only have 5500 miles but I just got my best tank which was 17.5. A full 1 mile jump over my previous average, with no real change in my driving habits (lots of city).

    I expect or hope to average out about 18.5, maybe a few more miles will do that.

    No aftermarket engine parts, pretty stock with tsb and billies, and amsoil at 5000 miles.

    I am averaging 21 MPG in Canada and I mostly drive it in the winter. i am still driving my bike on a daily basis.

    First fuel up was 19.88mpg. Probably could have done better but I had about 100 city miles in there and its not broken in. I drive with a mature foot, I guess I am a geezer based on the other age thread :cool:. Love the truck, pretty pleased with the mileage. Hope I get a small improvement as it breaks in. Like you guys I ride my Vulcan 900 Classic if I want to get really good mileage :D.

    well, imma let my sig speak for itself. yep thats right, i get over thirty miles to the gallon. and yes i do have a light foot and yes i do have some mods that benefit to this. ahhh the beauty of a four cylinder. ( mind you most of my driving is combined city and highway :D) surely im not the only one who can 30+ MPG?

    I am drunk. That's the only way I can face these MPG threads.

    The reason Toyota fuel efficiency has gone to hell IS the Prius. Makes their fleet average so low they just don't have to care.

    And whoever is saying running your fogs matters is picking fly shit out of pepper. 110W = 0.15 hp. Running 0.1 less psi in your tires would make about the same difference. Noise.

    Ok we are on our 6th tank of gas. 75% of the driving is stop and go freeway. So I dont really consider those normal freeway miles. But we just got 23.27mpg out of that last tank and have only run 87 oct. I am pleased.

    It is one of the performance factors of a vehicle. It matters. I have a hard time believing you'd say the same thing if your Tacoma only managed 5 mpg.
