I’ve towed about 800 miles of the 6200 on my OR, Never were any of the temps anywhere near concerning. (2500 lbs to 6000lbs)

Awesome. On thing the “Car Care Nut” says is that on these new platforms, Toyota typically works out the major issues in the first 8 months of production.

I really like my '24 Tacoma, but the lack of a power drivers seat, even in the lower trim levels, is kinda weird in the market segment. If I remember correctly, I would have had to step up to a TRD Sport or OR with a certain package to get that (plus a whole lot of stuff I didn't want). Ended up with everything I wanted/needed in a SR5 with the upgrade & cold weather package, except for the power seat. I'm sure that will be some 'update' in a future model year where they make that standard in most trim levels, but while the manual seat adjustments are okay overall and has lumbar, its still not as adjustable as a power seat, and for someone with a bad lower back, that can sometimes be a detriment.
With that minor gripe, the truck has been great and no issues!

I can see how a power front seat would be beneficial for some. For me, I don't need it as I just set it up once and forget about it. But not having a front driver seat grab handle while I'm getting in, is a little baffling to me why Toyota didn't include that.

It’s weird because the power driver’s seat has been standard for the 20+ 3rd gen Tacomas IIRC

They took it out of the lower trims and put it on the passenger side with the upgrade packages, my wife is happy about it..

That seems weird to me. Toyota has done some weird things in the past though

Like the seat pocket only being on the passenger seat for the 3rd gens

Or the volume button being horizontal and the seek button being vertical for the buttons located on the steering wheel (definitely on the 3rd gens, not sure on the 4th gens, don’t remember)

I'm happy with my TRD OR in Solar Octane. There are so many people complaining about the price but inflation has been rampant the past few years and the price of just about everything has gone up significantly. When you take that into consideration, the price of the Tacoma is about right imo.

I'm happy with just about everything in my Tacoma (performance, aesthetics, tech features, etc.). The only two things that I would have prefer to be different are: (1) a larger standard infotainment screen [10'' would be nice] and actual all-terrain tires on a Off-Road package. I upgraded to Falken AT4s but it cost me an additional $2000+ CAD (5 tires).

Toyota 6 speeds have been up and to the left since 2005, why would they start changing it 20 years later.

This is my 5th Tacoma, 1 2nd gen, 3 3rd gens, and so far, this one is my favorite. I have been on 2 long trips and the drive train is much improved over the 3rd gen. The seats are more comfortable, and the truck just seems to have a better feel to it then the 3rd gen. I can't comment about off-roading as I am one of those pavement princess truck guys, I need a truck to tow my boat and for hunting trips. I'm not sure if I like the new back seat folding configuration yet I will find out next month when I try to stuff it full of gear.

I’m very happy with my 4th gen. Ive had 4 Tacomas in total (96 SR 5 4x4, 2021 SR5, 2022 TRD Sport 4x4 and now I have a 2024 TRD Sport 4x4 and the 2024 is just a better truck, period. It’s bigger, has more ground clearance, quicker, more powerful, has more safety features, more comfortable, and in my opinion looks better. If i had my way i wouldn’t have had to get a 4th gen Tacoma though bcuz someone rear ended me totaling my 3rd gen after I just finished all the upgrades I wanted (a 2” lift, amp, subwoofer, speaker upgrade, Kdmax tune, seat jackers, larger tires), but thankfully I had “new car replacement” on my insurance policy which paid for the 2024 Tacoma. So in one way I’m happy, but I did love my 3rd gen army green Tacoma too

I may as well get in the mix on this. I have owned an 07,11,13,18,18,24 this one is my first manual and I am at 10,500km as of this am. I really like the rear coils you can deff tell the difference. I think the power is great compared to the previous models. I see a lot of complaints about the price and on the higher trims that is for sure true but my offroad was like 3-4k more then last years....but everything has gone up in price. The engine is in the Crown, Highlander, a few Lexus models so I don't think there will be much issue with reliability. Overall it is the best driving one I have had mind you I only usually keep them till 100km this one I have to keep for a few years anyways I am planning on buying a sports car for my 40th a yr and a few months away so I will have this truck for prob 4 years or so.

I'm beyond happy. I've had all the previous gen Tacomas. This OR with the Premium package is much more truck than the others.

Much improved power-train, tows my 1300-pound camper great, glides over washboards like they aren't there, the seats are much more comfortable (at least in the Premium package). The surround camera system is great.

And I'm probably leaving out a bunch of stuff.

Funny how in the last ten years, if you are not rock crawling and sliding down steep muddy creeks filled with huge boulders or fording 4' deep rivers in your truck, you are now considered a "pavement princess truck guy".

Just doing basic truck things...oh the horror!

I love it. I went from a 10 year old Ford Focus.

    Pros:
    • Even in my SR there’s all the technology advances my 10 year old car didn’t have and what some new cars don’t have standard ie. adaptive cruise control, lane centering and auto hi beams.
    • The manual transmission feels very truckish and fun to shift.
    • Interior is very aesthetically pleasing and not over macho off road
    • Love the cat eye LED headlights.
    • I like that in the base model 6MT, it’s not the total de-tuned engine, just 8 hp less.
    • The window camera reads the speed limit signs and displays it in the instrument cluster.
    • My average MPG is 24.8 right now. On highway trips I get 27 and 28mpg. I think having a manual helps. If I see traffic slowing down I just hit the clutch and coast. Also I started driving the speed limit, I like being that slow truck guy in the right lane.
    • It’s nice to have the only 4th gen on the road. I have only seen one other 4th gen in my area. I know that won’t last.
    Cons:
    • Needs a drivers side support handle, I keep sliding into my seat when getting in and it’s going to wear the edge out fast.
    • In the SR, if you turn the climate control fan off, the temperature control stays on and it seems the system still blows air ever so slightly. Wish the system would just turn all off
    • The infotainment screen is not the greatest layout. Hard to switch between CarPlay and the Toyota radio. Needs to be just one touch and not 3 or 4.
    • Engine makes a lot of buzzing noises when driving slow, but the turbo sounds cool when it kicks in.
    • Electronic parking brake is hard to get use to. I prefer a lever to pull up on. Auto e brake can be used to engage when engine is shut off. Wish it would disengage auto when I push the clutch and gas to start moving
