I have an 07 with 67K, was thinking of having it done but after reading some of the comments I might just pass. Nothings broken and I still have a year for my frame to perforate so thats where were at.
Does the rear end really sit lower than the front with the new springs?

This is the reason I’ve put off getting my springs replaced

I had the TSB springs put in over 10 years ago. Was happy with them. When the recall came I opted to do it because of the age on the springs and bushings. Plus the "safety" factor of the additional retaining clips. Truck sat lower in the rear, especially towing. Got Sumo Springs and all is better now; no sag on towing.

I notice no difference with my truck. The recall came at the right time for me--a spring broke.

Frame & springs done at same time. Called dealer 14 months after being replaced and complained about a loud metallic click coming from front passenger side ONLY when backing up. After much hem-hawing around from the dealer about it being more than a year since the swap and my "gentle" explanation to the youngster about how time goes fast and it took me over a year to find ANOTHER full day to do nothing but sit there at the shop while they retightened and torqued all involved front end bolts to the proper specs (pretty sure they had their finger on the 911 button while I was "explaining" things) they agreed to re-torque the bolts IF they could (once again) replace my springs. I'm like scratching my head wondering why they want to give me another set of springs (they gave me some lame excuse about a better type out, recalled the recalled springs?) but figured they had found a way to get reimbursed again from Toyota thus making it worthwhile working on my front-end noise. Sorry, I'm long here but, no, there was no noticeable drag in the rear after the 2nd set was done even while towing my boat. She sat up tall and proud in the rear. I'd talk with the mechanic and explain your concerns. May be worth buying your own and having them installed at n/c when they do your frame. Sounds like you're aware of when the window for frame replacement will close. Right?

I had 300 000 km on the stock leafs, so was happy to hear I was able to get a free replacement. I used to haul a lot of building materials, so a fresh replacement on some tired leafs sounded great to me. It actually inspired me to follow up on the 3 other outstanding recalls on the truck.

I forgot to measure the before height, and feel that it sits slightly lower in the rear now (maybe 1/2") but have no way of telling other than by appearance.

They did the work and had it finished within 5 hours (with the 3 other recalls finished as well). Amazing what gets done when the service dept isn't getting paid :) I'm pleased with the outcome, but haven't noticed any difference in ride.

When I had mine done, it measured barely 1/2" lower than the original leaves. At the time I had 110k on my stock 2008. I do not tow or haul. I put in a 2" AAL right after I got it done and the leaf pack has held up just fine, no squeaks or rattles or anything of that sort after 25k miles

I had new frame and springs put on one month ago and I can't tell any difference. It felt different driving for a week but now it looks and feels like my truck.

I had the dakars installed a few weeks ago. Amazing difference in feel and the axle wrap is almost completely gone.

Mine were the non super duty ones. But I love them!

I had my leafs replaced on my dcsb last summer, and just recently added a cap. I took a trip this past weekend and loaded the bed up with maybe 200 lbs or so - evenly distrubuted...and I was a bit taken aback at how much it was sagging. Unfortunately I can't do a comparison, but I do not think it was normal for the load I had in it.

My stock leafs rode better than my current regular stiffness dakars but you could put a grocery bag in the back with the stock leafs and they would sag about 6" lol. The regular dakars, although they aren't made for heavy loads, still do much better than OEM in this regard.

No sag with mine actually a slight rake, the piece of crap originals bottomed over just about any large bump at high speed, the tsb's are a definate improvement
