Just saw on the news that our county school system is being sued because 3 students were being suspended for the year. That isn't the issue though. The lawsuit is because the letter explaining the suspensions was sent to the parents.............................. in ENGLISH!

I'm just banging my head. :frusty:

not reading all that, but no america didn't have an "official language" untill about 6 years ago IIRC. since we are a county of immigrants the idea was for it never to be set in stone. but like i said, im pretty sure congress passed for it to be english a few years ago.

I agree that the US should have an OFFICIAL language, and not just say it belongs to the states to decide. There should be secondary languages in some states that had it beforehand, such as Hawaii.

    negative.

there are certain states that have adopted amendments to their state constitution (like CA) but nothing exists at the federal level today.
