Are you offended?

It is their right, as an American, to not recite it for whatever reason they wish. Do/Would I stand up and recite it? Or course. But I'm not going to get all offended if someone chooses not to.

 

Just out of curosity, you Canadian guys, did or do you recite your own countrys' pledge in school?

 

Agreed that its a right to do so, but a point was brought up that they came into this country, THEY should adapt to OUR rules and whatnot..Not have our rules bent to serve them, then get offended when they dont.

im not offended......people that are offended arent realizing what country they are living in...we can do whatever we want in the US. go live in north africa or go live in china, then think about how bad you really have it here in the USA.

 

Um we are the melting pot. American traditions and customs are rooted and adapted from many different cultures. I myself personally believe in the pledge of allegiance to this great nation. I thank those who fight for our right to decide if we do or do not want to pledge to "one nation under God."
