So who has the 3rd Gen. with the Pro Charger and lives in Virginia? I went in for my last free service and had the tires rotated, the service writer was making small talk and it came up. He informed me of a 3rd Gen with a Pro Charger.

Well it's on there, they may not have a complete bolt on kit yet but nothing says it cannot be done plus saw I pics on a mechanics phone and he frabricated some things and had a local tuner write a tune for it.

Doubt it, OVTunes product is turbos, ProCharger is Superchargers. Magnuson has a Supercharger and maybe it was one of those but procharger does say the 3.5L is coming soon so it could be a beta product.

    Stawk as FUCK!
Probably a custom one-off Procharger kit. There really isn’t much to it, size the blower and pulley for correct RPM and displacement, make some brackets, make some charge piping, source a longer fan belt, find a tuner and walla!

He had some sc he sold for testing but has since scrapped the project for the twins. I think he’s based out of Virginia too, or somewhere close over there.

those testers probably signed a non disclosure because none of the buyers some mention anything since.

Just telling you what I learned, a local Dyno tuning shop. Why is that so hard to believe if they have the knowledge and tuning software. Many superchargers are on cars that were not specifically made as a bolt on it plug and play for that particular vehicle. I saw the picture and spoke with the service advisor about it whom is also a Tacoma enthusias. Doesn't matter if you believe what I was passing on or not. Also you will need a new tune if a blower is put on, you don't think it's going to run without a tune, do you?
You had me until you questioned me local tuner, why not.

He's laughing at the idea of a "local tuner" being able to tune the new Tacoma's ECU. From what I understand, it's easier said than done. As far as I know, there's only a couple of tuners that have "cracked" the Tacoma code. Tuning for FI is definitely the long pole in the tent and not an easy task at that.

There's a couple of big name FI manufacturers that have promised results in the Tacoma scene and have hit a brick wall when it came time to tune. Hardware is the easy part, software is a whole 'nother can of worms. We're talking years of delays.

Idk who the tuner was however we have some shops that do some pretty awesome Dyno tuning, did my cars, wrote tunes for lots of vehicles. Cars come in from all over but like I said I don't know who did the install or the tuning. I was told this yesterday and showed the picture of the pro charger installed. That's all I know.

Nah, the tunes on the Tacomas are cake, that's why these chargers and turbos have all been released a few weeks after the first 3rd gen was released and not still waiting after four years

there's multiple people on the east coast with FI
    signed non disclosures

would not be surprised if OV supplied the tune (probably a beta tune)

Its spoke about somewhere in the original Ov Tune thread good luck finding it though!

Edit: If I remember correctly there is less than 15 but they exist
