Perhaps better if you had a way to take the supplies and run. Obviously that opportunity may not exist but I’d imagine your market would be targeted

For those interested Bass Pro has some interesting stuff in n their Fathers Day sale flyer. I’m particularly liking the Henry lever action 22 I but a bug in my Son in laws ear about it but doubt that happens

You're better off with a 10/22 or a ruger / savage bolt rimfire.

I’ve already got like 5 22’s including a 10/22 and Marlin bolt 22 magnum I just kinda thought it might be fun. I’d really love to have a 357 magnum lever action

There's the emotional vs. practical side of guns: technically we should all only have 22 lr, 9 mm, 223, and probably 308, as those are the most common cartridges, and they are perfectly effective for their intended use.

Obviously, gun people don't follow my rules, haha, as people collect and hoard all kinds of cartridges.

I have a couple things but try to concentrate on common calibers as mentioned. It seems more practical

I've looked into reloading, but don't shoot anywhere near enough for it to make sense.

Also, ironically, I don't even own any of those 4 cartridges myself.

It's not necessarily a matter of shooting a lot. A large portion of what I reload is stuff that's just impossible to buy commercially.

    * I need some 7-30 waters dies of anyone has a set they want to sell*

They do have a good bit of useful kit. Some over priced some priced well. You can get stuff to hunt and fish that helps with food gathering. Camping supplies so it’s lighter and useful. Freeze dried meals if you desire. But I was just looking at a 22 for fun.

So you chose 4 common practical calibers but have none. You already won part of the battle. If you have interest in owning one or all think about each and figure out which will suit your needs best and get it when you can.
    For me:
22 is good for small game, pest removal, target shooting at a lower cost, and protection in a pinch
9mm good for hand guns for protection and carry and a f you get a pistol caliber carbine that shares common mags it’s pretty versatile
    223/556 defense, varmint removal, hunting
308 hunting putting food on the table or defense.
Others here will have their own opinions which I can appreciate and hopefully will post. Hell they may have points I never thought of

just read through the thread and came to comment about bucketing food. I might be overdoing this but we store dry food in mylar bags with O2 absorbers and those are in 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids. Doesn't take long to accumulate quite a few of these. Rice, beans, lentils, barley, etc

MAG teams can be tough to set up. Starting one from scratch can be difficult depending on where you live. I think just selling the idea in some area's can be off-putting to some neighbors. I heard from one church going neighbor "well, if something does happen, then yes". But then it's too late, I can't keep their whole family afloat. They haven't prepped, don't have a radio, haven't met with the group.
