If there's still stock available, I'd like to get in on this. Thanks

PSA For 3RD Gen owners. Our trucks have 3 horns from the factory. 2 primary horns mounted behind the grill and 1 "security" horn hidden elsewhere connected to the alarm only. Assuming this is to prevent a thief cutting the wires for the horns to bypass the alarm system.

I found out because after a year and a half of heavy use from my ACDF horns, I blew a Toyota fuse (10A). After amazing customer service from @BartMaster1234, I eventually determined that there are 2 factory horn fuses under the hood. 1 marked as "HORN" (10A) and one marked as "S-HORN" (10A). After my horns stopped working I checked the "S-HORN" fuse several times before noticing the regular "HORN" fuse. I'm sure I'm not the first to be stumped by this but thought I'd share.

1 10A fuse later and the ACDF horns are still going strong!

With the ACDFs on their own fuses w/relay, why/how did the factory 10A fuse blow?

That’s what we’re trying to determine, if you hold the horn for a very prolonged period of time there’s a possibility you could draw more than 10 amps on the stock line.

Has anyone installed 12 horns/is that possible? I have been running 4 for about a year and love them but I’m going to install my 8 setup soon. I’ll probably take the 4 off but color me curious.

The biggest obstacle is trying to figure out where to mount that many horns.

Anyone have a pic of where on the harness you spliced in the purple wire on a 2nd gen? I'm preserving my stock setup and putting in a toggle switch to select between the two systems.

Finally got around to installing mine. I had a friend modify the setup #2 brackets by welding them together about 1.25” apart. I then mounted the whole thing as one piece on the middle horizontal support in between the grille and radiator. Sounds much better!
