This 8 horn setup is SO awesome. I scared the crap out of myself testing it. Shoutout to @TSki for the mounting idea, I had to tweak it a little to fit well since I have a transmission cooler. I used some L brackets and a threaded rod. Also of course shoutout to @BartMaster1234
for making a killer product.

Interested in getting some new horns because I keep blowing my 10 amp fuse on my 2010 if I honk longer than 2 seconds. Will your set up by pass all the stock stuff so I can finally have horns that work longer to let people that cut me off know I'm pissed?
Sorry but don't know if this has been discussed already. Don't really feel like scowling through 105 pages worth of posts unless you have talked about this. If so, let me know and I will research more.

 

It depends on what's causing your fuse to blow. If the factory horn(s) is the problem, yes, this setup will work. If the issue is in your wiring or horn button, this new setup may not fix your fuse problem. This horn kit uses your existing horn wiring all the way up to the horn - from there it gets unplugged and plugged in to a relay that provides power to the new horns directly from the trucks battery.

 

This does not bypass the stock wiring, it uses the factory horn wire to trigger my standalone relay harness.

Sounds like you have a bad ground or a bad clockspring.

I’m getting ready to put my 8 horn El Dorado kit up for sale that I purchased from Bartmaster1234 in the last round. I was 1 of 2 of the 8 horn kits available. Never got around to installing and right now can use the cash. I’ll get this thread updates as soon as I get the for sale ad created. I’ve prepped the wire harness with PET Expandable Braided Sleeving to give it more of a factory look and for protection of the wires. I also have a 36” 3/8 stainless steel threaded rod with bolts to make the horn tree setup that many have done.
