Is there a single Cadillac left in California with their horns still installed?

 

Plenty, but the owner would probably get mad at me if I tried to take them!

 

I keep expecting to turn on the TV and hear "....and in other news, Cadillac owners in California have noticed their horns suddenly sound a little different -- seemingly overnight!" (Clip shows perplexed-looking luxobarge owner next to a large Fleetwood de Ville Brougham blowing the horn and hearing "meep meep!")

 

I bought a set of 4 horns over 4 years ago and finally got around to installing them last weekend. I just created a thread describing the install process for a different location for those with a supercharger as space becomes tighter. It would also work for anyone looking for another install option.

From the relay, the black grounds and the purple just goes into one of the horns factory connectors? Does the other just go unused?

 

You need to use all four wires, +12v power (red battery terminal), chassis ground, stock horn connector, new horn connector. See the diagram on page 1, post 1 of this thread.

 

I get that. From the relay, yellow is the new horn, black fork chassis ground, long blue to battery and purple for the car's horn. Aren't there 2 horn connectors on the factory wiring? Is there a Y-harness there or is one of them not used? I could be overthinking this.

 

Sorry, I thought you were asking where the other two relay wires went. You only use one of the factory horn connectors, doesn't matter which one.
