Sometimes we march through the day, totally oblivious to the simple facts.....just to have someone point out those facts when we least expect it.

I never related "Tacoma ownership" to any certain age group. There was always something far more important to dwell on. But this thread made me aware of the fact SOME people obviously think there is a perfect age to own a Taco'. So. I have allotted a few brain cells to the effort to watch all the Tacoma's I pass during the day and make a mental note of approximate drivers age. (assuming the driver is usually the owner)

What I have observed; Many, if not MOST of the Tacoma drivers I see who are driving GenII Taco's seem to be middle age or older. I'd say something to the tune of 60%. Most of the GenI drivers are older than 50-ish.

Most of the really modded GenII trucks tend to be 30-somethings to 40-somethings.....

Very VERY few GenII trucks with teen/20-something drivers around this neck 'o the woods.

Most of the really bombed out, hammered, mudded to death trucks are mid 20's and younger.

And from what I observe in my area, the 40-somethings and older buy a LOT of wax!

I traded my 98 regular cab in a year ago on my 15. At 62 my wife keeps referring to it as my last truck.

Too old for this? Why? I've owned Toyota trucks for 27 out of the last 32 years. I enjoy life. The trucks have done their part to insure that. Why would anyone be too old for that. Pictures are where I fish when I have a few minutes. (Don't ask, I ain't tellin') Fog rolled in just about the time it started to break light. Fog cleared a little and I go busy fishin'!

    Too old for this? Why?

Just went surf fishing for a week with 6 other guys. 3 of us owned Tacomas, all TRD off road. One guy drove a Land Cruiser. At 63, I was the youngest in the group and the only one not on Social Security. Don't think age is relevant for a Tacoma

    A few things
Almost 40 and the truck still runs fine, it doesn't seem to mind my age.

I assumed you were older, too. Most of the guys I see with Tacomas around here are.

My father in law is 72 with a gen 2 and I'll be 40 in two months. I like that it's not a full sized truck. Too hard to park those in Austin.
