The older I get the less I care about who has what or who drives what. As long as my vehicle gets me from a to b and fits my lifestyle I'll be just as happy as the Porsche owner.
Can your buddy load some dirt bikes into his lexis? Can he tow his boat to the lake? Can he take his lexis to the mountains off road and maybe do some camping.

Can you drive your Tacoma to work? Does your Tacoma get you to the mall? How about to dinner on a date?

    Get the picture..

I'm 64 and retired. I'm on my second Tacoma. I've has several Silverados and Rams. The Tacoma fits me much better and much easier to maneuver. Something tells me that someday a third Tacoma will be in my garage.

My principal calls me the Tonka Man. He's just jealous. I saw him at the AC/DC concert before he came to our school. He's cool.

My first small truck was a 65 Datsun pickup it was cool had little fins and a 4 speed collum shift that was backwards. The truck was intended to be right hand drive so all they did was turn the collum over that put the shifter backwards no one could drive it but me! Then a few other Datsun's and then switched to a Highlux with a 1980 been driving them ever since.

45 and my 10 year old loves riding in my 07. I bowhunt and can out-hike and out-shoot most of the kids driving sedans. Oh, and on Maui, the Taco is THE vehicle to own.

I'm 43 and I've never given it a thought. Everyone has their own wants and needs. Besides, I have a Dodge Ram 2500 and Ford Explorer to go along with it.

When many new Tacomas are selling $35-40k out the door, I don't exactly think it's necessarily entry level either, when you can find dozens of vehicles much less than that.

I'm 46 and have driven VWs, Audis, Corvettes, a few MR2s, a Jeep and a couple other vehicles. At this point in my life I enjoy just owning and driving my Tacoma. It's dead reliable, hauls all the stuff I need for my hobbies and projects, and doesn't make me feel like I'm making a statement with what I drive.

I'm 25 and love that I drive a nice taco... Always getting complements and good vibes too. So typical of a lexus owner to insult something they know nothing about :(

Age is a state of mind, not an arbitrary cut-off for vehicle type ownership.

48 here. Have owned my Tacoma for 5 years now, and will own it until i drive/tow it off to the junk-yard.

I don't need full-sized, less than reliable "domestic" manufacture pick-up trucks, with silly maintenance costs. I don't have a need for a premium luxury vehicle that basically has me proclaiming to the world just how much in debt i am, with the "keeping up with the Jone's" mind-set.

Never occurred to me that Tacoma owners could be pigeon-holed in that way. I'm a 63 year old enjoying a tricked out '14 4x4 in the desert with the pink slip in hand. Not at all concerned that my gray hair will be seen in a Tacoma.
