Are you too old for your Tacoma?

The good thing about being "old" and owning a new Taco is you probably won't have to buy another one.

 

The cool thing about older owners of Tacomas, the truck is usually paid in full!
I need one to haul my Specialized Enduro comp 29er!

 

49 here....never thought about it.

 

Agreed on the younger crowd. A lot of high school kids around where I liv drive Tacomas.
I think partly because you can beat them to s**t and they just keep going.

 

I'm 48 and plan on driving my 14 Taco well into my 50s. Who knows, I might just buy a Gen 4.

 

71 and love my Taco!

 

If you can hold it, you can handel it. If you can get in it, you can drive it. If you can get on it, you can ride it. I ride it all the time at 60.

 

52 & still shinin' up the Tacoma on weekends, so it looks good for the ladies! Actually I think the sporty appearance of the Tacomas helps keep me young at heart. Switch over to the F250 SuperDuty for the heavy haulin' .

 

I forgot to add, my wife insists I will never grow up, because I am always doing something to the truck. It's an addiction. Us old folks have it too.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you find something that makes you enjoy life and live with a "younger" mind set, isn't that a GOOD thing? I think so. Nothing wrong with getting older (well, there IS, but whatta ya gonna do about it) but getting older doesn't mean you have to go crawl under a rock and wait to die.....Maybe it means you get to go crawl OVER rocks!

 

imo the people over 35 that don't drive a Tacoma have already slipped into senility.

 

Then I,....Am a Tacoma. Strangely, I also work in Tacoma.....

 

If I'm too old (37) than oh well! It makes me happy and that's all that matters!!!

 

Some people just don't need or like a big truck.

I've had a Toyota 4x4 truck of one sort or another since I was 17 and I don't feel any differently now than then about driving one. And I'm 42. My other vehicle currently is an 05 Mustang GT and I don't feel strange about that either. My dad drives a Tacoma and he's 74. I think the OP's friend is the one who's odd.

 

I am 43 and love my Tacoma. Had a 95 Ranger for 19 plus years. I don't want or need a full size truck, the Tacoma does all I need. I don't feel strange or weird driving it. I am more self conscious driving my 97 Supra,had it for 14 years. When I got it people said my parents got it for me, now that I'm older people think I'm trying to hold on to my youth. How bout I like what I have and enjoy driving them both. Tacos are a great truck.

 

around here the older crowd is the norm, im 34 and feel in the minority
