Are you watching the iPhone 5 Keynote?

I don't understand why Android users care so much about putting down the iPhone

downloading it now. Had to wait to get off work before i could install it. U guys liking it so far?

 

I didn't realize it was out! I'll wait til friday when I go pick up the new phone to try it out.

 

Mine has been downloading for almost an hour. Shitty wifi here at work

 

Took me exactly an hour from when I pressed download and install until it finished installing

 

and mines been on preparing to update for the past 15~ with hte progress bar like

it will be done downloading in like 3 mins so i am expecting another 20 for the install.

 

Downloading iOS6 now, looks like 3 hrs for the download in my hotel, very slow, throttled back wifi...

I was waiting for the new iPhone 5, but it really doesnt look to me like a huge improvement compared with what other manufactures have out, I was hoping for a larger (ie wider, not just taller) screen, a more revised and updated interface, we are still looking at the same locked down icons and sounds that the first iPhone had... I have another year before my contract is up, so it looks like I will be getting the iPhone 5S... LOL, the "S" stuff is very amusing, I have a iPhone 4S now, and it is sad that Apple failed to do much more than make it a little faster after over a year.

Might just wait for the Galaxy S4

 

lol i am probably getting around 5-10mbps at my local starbucks.

 

wow, I think I am getting 3-4 mbps, and that is fast for me on my MacBook Pro... most of the time I leave my iPhone in 3G mode and dont bother to connect to wifi because it is faster in 3G mode.



ETA- It just errored out on me, 318mb into the 913mb download, and it has started from the beginning again... stupid iTunes, least it could do is save the first 300mb it downloaded over the last hour, but nope, started from scratch.

done. noticeably faster... still gotta play around with it for a bit to check out all the stuff.

My shipping status changed to "shipped" sometime between noon and about 4:00. No tracking email or anything though. I will hopefully have it Friday.

 

Well, I found the first glitch in iOS 6..
My tones volume (screen lock, email, etc..) are dependent on the iPod music volume.
I thought I was going crazy when those tones weren't as loud as normal, but my ringer volume was all the way up.. But no, I turned up the iPod volume and the tone volume went back to normal.
Oh well, they'll get it fixed.

Anyone else having the same issue or found any other glitches?

 

iOS 6 finally downloaded, 4 hrs, 1 restart and another 15 mins to install. It is noticeably faster on my 4S, and the new maps are actually pretty cool. I like that you can now turn maps sideways, you can rotate the map on the screen, and the 3D thing is cool, but I doubt I will use it. Navigation also seems nice, but I will likely stick with my Garmin GPS, it doesnt have the terrible battery life that my iPhone (and most phones) has...

Also, everything went from silver to a light blue.
