AT&T can also add it at point of purchase if you go into a store. With the right manager he can add it within 30 days of purchase

^ thanks. Hopefully the same for me even though I read they sold out on there pre-order batch in an hour. I found cases on eBay already for the iPhone 5. Cheap too. Just don't know how good the quality will be.

 

Otterbox.com has cases for the iPhone 5 on their website. I always order them from cell companies on ebay though. I usually find them for about half the price that otterbox is selling them for directly!!

The magpul case definitely didn't protect my phone when the wife dropped it. It also collects a lot of moisture for some reason. I'm using the 3g version though.

By the way - as of Wednesday the 19th at 7AM local time, my 5 has not shipped yet (at least the status isn't updated). ATT told me I would be getting it ON the 21st when I ordered. I'm not holding my breath though. It will need to ship today to get it Friday I assume.

 

I ordered through Apple and mine still says preparing for shipment also. I'm guess it'll be updated today or tomorrow morning with shipping times.

LoL... my wife drowned her droid a couple weeks ago. I got her a 4. She absolutely hated it. She kept getting mad about how she couldn't go to certain websites and it doesn't do anything her droid did. So funny to see all you iPhone clowns, and even funnier to see that Jimmy Kimmel video.

Whats even more ironic is the iphone FINALLY came out with 4G, now that most the networks have dropped unlimited data. You don't get to enjoy the beauty of 4G anymore, that is, unless you pay full price for the phone, or ALOT of cash for 2GB of data.

The carriers are kicking Apple in the nuts right now and I think its hellarious. With the loss of unlimited data, sales are going to fall very short this year.... not even mentioning how much of an 'upgrade' this phone actually is.

You die-hard fans are the only ones who will get them, and you're going to pay a price for a polished turd IMO.

lol that was another thing I hated about the Iphone I got my wife, couldn't turn it on without wifi. Sooo dumb.

 

What websites couldn't she go to? What could her droid do that the 4 didn't? The 4 is 2 generations old as of Friday and I've NEVER ran in to a site that couldn't load. Regardless of your feelings towards Apple, the iPhone or whatever, you're a fool to think that only "diehards" will buy it...they're sold out for a month already. The cold hard fact is that we're all sheep, no matter what we buy...Droid/iPhone, Windows/Apple, Ford/Chevy/Toyota.

This thread's already had a bout of the "this is better than that" flame up - keep comments like this to yourself...they're no different than political chatter as far as I'm concerned...here to unconstructively stir the pot.

 

I think this is far too big of an update to do OTA...plus, no wifi at work and I'm in my Extended Network right now
