If you have never installed a Bedrug I would not do it alone and make sure you take your time lining it up before cutting any holes or taping it up. Otherwise it is a very nice product and I am very happy with it. It matches perfectly with the carpet on the cap.

Oh that's sweet looking. I only bought the bedrug mat which is the bottom portion and excludes the sides. I only bought it because it was half the price it should have been lol. It looks like they have already made adjustments to accommodate the "missing" drivers side storage. My Taco is MGM too, Man you have me conflicted now on color match or blk bedliner, that really looks sharp to me. I have a lead on a used cap that is SSM color that I thought about buying and painting with bedliner.

Looks great! I've been hoping to see an ARE cap with the OTR coating on MGM. Buddy of mine has the overland with the OTR strip but I really like the whole cap look. Only concern is how hot it's going to get since I live in Florida (pictures look like you might be down this way as well).

Thank you for the nice comments. I’m in South Florida as well but I am hoping the carpet helps block the heat transfer. BTY it looks way nicer in person. For some reason the photos make it look like it’s taller in the rear and there’s little difference in color. It’s a perfect match for the truck and you can clearly tell the cap is coated with Line-X. Been getting a lot of looks on the road.

Did you notch the bedrug around the bed stiffeners or cut holes for the bolts? Having an ARE topper installed this Friday and considering a bedrug as well.

This was the first time I ever installed a Bedrug. I would have done it differently had I previous experience. Regarding the bed supports, I wanted to install them over the carpet but they were already in place so the three vertical holes I drilled on each side would not line up because of the thickness of the carpet. I had no choice but to cutout the carpet to re-install the brackets into their existing holes. If you haven’t installed the brackets you may be able to put them over the top of the carpet. I think this would look much better. My opinion.

One more observation. I believe the bed support was not designed to go over a Bedrug. If you put it on top of the Bedrug, the top factory hole won’t line up and the angle of the bracket won’t be flush with the vertical angle on the truck’s sheet metal. Structurally, I feel the bracket must be bolted directly to the bed before the carpet is installed. The hard part is making it all work with the Bedrug. Where do you make the cuts and how much? It’s your truck. Again, thank you all for the nice comments. I love how it came out overall and I’m getting a lot more use out of the truck bed now that it’s covered.
