ARE Z Series - Used Topper Install - Questions

I’m picking up a used ARE Z Series topper, and have a few questions you all might be able to help with. I am having a hard time finding clear information via Google search.

1. Related to weather strip / sealant that is required to put on the bed before installing the topper. Does anyone know if the Z series requires a new weatherstrip if moved from one truck to another? I have heard for various toppers that they need silicon, putty, weatherstrip, etc. Any info would be really helpful in terms of what is required and specific placement to stop leaks.

2. Wiring. I want to make sure I pull all of the wiring off of his truck in addition to the topper. I assume there is just a single loomed wire running to the battery. Anything else to look out for? I believe the lock is also wired up to the factory auto locks.
