i have the black aries and got the same results after 3 weeks. Little rust spots all over the bar. factory sent me a new bar and told me not to let it get chipped and if it did to use touch up paint. Oh yeah they dont sell touch up paint. UGH

I've got an Aries (black) pushbar....had it for about a couple years (can't remember). The black part is starting to pit & rust.

The stainless cover part at the bottom has been fine - I polish it with stainless polish and it cleans up nice.

    The other part...not so much.

Stainless doesn't rust, that's why it's used in the ocean and commercial kitchens. You got taken for a ride or it's steel-chrome and someone sold it to you as stainless. Keep up with washing and waxing/polishing, that'll help.

I've got the black/stainless aries, and the black is starting to rust in it's first year. Understandable though, the winter here in Edmonton is pretty brutal.

I'm just going to take it off this summer, sand it clean, and have it powder-coated black.

Just make sure you get rid of the rust before it starts pitting/chewing up the metal. Once it's at that point, you're past the point of saving the bars.
