Gotcha, wasn't sure how warm it got. I know come summer we are supposed to stop fishing in the plains and stick to higher elevations because of the lower temps.

In kansas they stocked em once a year and then come summer all the trout would die...seemed dumb to even stock them

Most lakes that are stocked in Phoenix and tucson are urban lakes (very small park lakes) temp controlled and aired. The lakes in the mountains usually freeze over and are pretty hard to get to unless you take a snow mobile or a tacoma  haha but this winter was terrible for snow.

Thank you sir. We like to camp at Knoll Lake but you have to hit it in June/July to get the nonstop trout fishing. It really dies off after that as the lake level starts to drop in August/Sept. Going in April to the Rim lakes is the best time to catch those big holdover German Browns with some trolling rigs or flies.

We really hauled in the crawdads last year at Knoll. I brought out 8 good traps and we did a huge crawdad boil and I brought back bags full of leftovers for my sister's family. They were a big crop, too, with some that had claw meat. Gotta hit em in July/August. In June we couldn't keep the trout off our hooks.

Crawdad are easy to grab out there. To bad camping is going to be shut down very early this year to dispersed camping and the knoll campsites are not made for rtt haha

I was at Knoll over the 4th of July weekend last year and the fishing was fantastic. Watching garter snakes try to eat the trout on the stringer was amusing as well.

Never really fished at a lake. Only local parks.

Bait casters are awesome when fishing from the boat when trying to get your lure/rubber worm or whatever close to the shore. I really need to get myself one.
Juan, whatcha got and what do you want for them?

I'm going on a week long backpacking/fishing trip beginning of June. Going to be catching small mouth. Really excited.
