Pits (and Rotts and Dobies) only get the bad rap from the ones raised by people with self esteem issues... and those who don't understand this. Your Shep is very good looking- show quality?

I think he is show quality. The only problem I have now is that this summer I couldn't keep him out of the pool and he never dried out so he got this bacteria growing on his skin that made him itch really bad. He kinda messed up is top coat in a couple of places but that grows back.... I hope....

Good looking dogs! Not in Arizona but if we ever travel out that way I'm sure Link would love to hang out with some of the great looking GSD's on here!

I have been thinking about a GS. This is what the type of dog im looking for. I need a dog that can go with me hunting and fishing. ( it doesn't need to be a hunting dog it just needs to be a dog I can bring.) I also want a dog that will begood with children and will protect my wife while im out of town. Does the GS fit this discirption?

A GSD is a great companion dog. Also it is one of the most protective breeds. Our GSD is great with kids and other dogs as well. In order for a GSD (or any other breed for that matter) to be good with kids and other dogs you have to socialize them with kids and other dogs at an early age and quite often. Also read up on GSD's. Know what your getting yourself into. Check out this website http://shepherdcentral.com/ There is a ton of info on GSD's from GSD owners. GSD's need a ton of exercise. We walk or play ball with ours at least and hour or two a day. Hope this helps with your decision. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

A1113FBC-171B-4E66-8390-AAF940B8BF35.jpg I bought a black GSD for my daughter this Christmas. The best dog ever. He’s always the first one to jump in the Tacoma. He Loves going out. His favorite place is Tractor Supply. Everyone there knows him.
Here’s a pic of my 5 month old GSD and his BFF our house Tortoise. Also added a pic of when he was 8 weeks old and 4 months old side by side.

Good looking WGSD. I had one that unfortunately lost last year. Was a big boy at 130 and only 6 years old. I have a new one now.

Has anyone seen one of those liver colored GSD? I’ve always Black GSD since I was a kid. Just got a love for the breed and that color. All GSD are the best dog you could own.

SKULL, how did you get your GSD to work the treadmill? Mine jumps right off.
